New Ground is a highly regarded Environmental Consultancy firm specialising in ecological assessment for the Resources, Land Development and Extractive Industry sectors. We have already built an enviable reputation of delivering high value project outcomes whilst leaving a positive ecological legacy.
This is a primarily field based role across multiple projects with varying roster requirements. Periodically you will also have the opportunity to be involved in report writing and office based activities. Whilst the office is based on the Gold Coast, due to the cloud based systems report writing can be undertaken remotely for those based outside of QLD.  The role has a focus on the QLD resource sector based in remote areas of central QLD where you will be on a fly in fly out rotation.
This company is seeking Mid-Level and Senior Ecologists with a minimum 3 years’ experience with either flora or fauna background who want to join a company where you can really make a difference and develop your career at the same time.   • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum 3 years of strong field survey and identification experience.
  • A solid knowledge of the relevant legislation.
  • Be passionate about your field work.
  • Have solid report writing ability.
  • Have a flair for problem solving and delivering solutions.
  • A desire to work with a team of highly skilled
    and like minded professionals.
  • To be able to manage yourself so that allocated
    tasks are managed to time, cost and technical specifications.
  • To be able to absorb new information and
    technology then apply it on the job.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to
    create and enhance client relationships through delivering project excellence.
